{"id":62,"date":"2012-10-12T11:47:56","date_gmt":"2012-10-12T09:47:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/genevacursillo.org\/wordpress\/?page_id=62"},"modified":"2021-05-03T11:28:18","modified_gmt":"2021-05-03T09:28:18","slug":"beyond-the-weekend","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/genevacursillo.org\/wordpress\/beyond-the-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Beyond the Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\u00a0During a Cursillo weekend, we are encouraged to:<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>get to know ourselves better (<strong>encounter with self<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>experience the presence and love of God, through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit (<strong>encounter with God<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>see the good that a loving and caring Christian community can provide (<strong>encounter with others<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To continue the Cursillo weekend experience, we strongly suggest that you become more involved in a local church community or parish.<\/p>\n<p>You may also want to continue to meet with some of the people you met during the Cursillo \u00a0weekend, perhaps meeting them on a regular basis. As well as the larger gatherings of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/genevacursillo.org\/wordpress\/regular-meetings\/\"><strong>Cursillo evenings<\/strong><\/a>, we also suggest\u00a0<strong>Reunion<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Group <\/strong>meetings where 4-8 people\u00a0meet more regularly to share about <strong>prayer<\/strong>, <strong>study<\/strong> and <strong>Christian action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-428 size-medium\" style=\"border: 0px none;\" title=\"Talbot Moosberger\" src=\"https:\/\/genevacursillo.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Reunion-group-leaflet-160x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/genevacursillo.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Reunion-group-leaflet-160x300.png 160w, https:\/\/genevacursillo.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Reunion-group-leaflet.png 318w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 160px) 100vw, 160px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Cursillo movement is an <strong>apostolic movement<\/strong>. Our goal is to share with people around us the essence of Christianity and Christian values in a way that could gradually transform society from within. The Cursillo movement uses the expression \u201c<strong>leavening society with the gospel<\/strong>\u201d. We are counting primarily on the testimony of friendship with Christ to help us bring Christ to others.
